Silicon carbide ceramic: Moh’s hardness is 9.0~9.2, with excellent resistance to erosion and corrosion, excellent abrasion-resistance and anti-oxidation. It is 4 to 5 times stronger than nitride bonded silicon carbide. The service life is 7 to 10 times longer than alumina material. The MOR of RBSiC is 5 to 7 times that of SNBSC, it can be used for more complex shapes.
Reaction bonded silicon carbide (RBSC) has excellent wear resistant peformance, good properties at elevated temperatures, good erosion and abrasive resistance, these properties can be utilised in a variety of applications such as pipe liners, ceramic elbow, spray nozzles, shot blast nozzles and hydrocyclone components.
ZPC linings far outlast tiled and metallic liners. ZPC silicon carbide ceramics are thermal shock resistance and abrasion resistant which results in extended run times and reduced downtime.
